| 5/8" Wide Clamping Cam
Elite Skewers use a 5/8" wide cam surface on the
handle to increase clamping force and rigidity. To reduce weight, Elite handles are CNC
machined down to a standard 1/2" width along the handle. The KORE Logo is also CNC
machined 1/2 way through the face of the handles to reduce weight.
Delrin Washer / True Locking Cam
For smooth operation and easy opening and closing,
Elite Skewers use CNC machined Delrin cam washers. Our handles have a true offset cam that
locks the skewer down when closed to avoid any unintentional openings.
Titanium Pivots
To offset the weight of the wide 5/8" handle cam
and rigid chromoly front axle, Elite Skewers use Titanium Pivots. No other quick release
on the market uses Titanium pivots because they are extremely difficult and expensive to
make. Ti pivots help bring the weight of Elite Skewers down to 86 grams.
Chromoly surface inserts
To eliminate rear wheel slippage in your drop-outs,
Elite Skewers have chromoly surface inserts pressed into the alloy nuts. This gives you
the strength and grip of steel, with the weight of aluminum. |
