Drive FAQ's

Chain Reactor

Will it fit my frame? The Chain Reactor will fit frames with chain stays that are 1" or smaller in diameter.  This includes round, oval and square stays.

Pedals

What size are the pins in the Platform Pedals? The Platform Pedals use 3.5mmx1 pins.

Can I use Shimano cleats with my G.A.S.S. pedals?  No, Kore’s G.A.S.S. pedals use cleats designed specifically for them.  Our spring design is very different from that of Shimano and therefore need a different cleat.

Where can I get replacement cleats? You can get some through your local bike shop or by contacting us via email.

My G.A.S.S. Pedals used to work fine, now they seem really loose.  Why? With continued use, the tension plates on the G.A.S.S. pedals will wear.  As they wear, the spring tension lightens.  To compensate for this, tighten the small screw on the outside of your pedal as this will push the plate closer to the center of the pedal increasing the tension.

Why am I having trouble getting in and out of my new pair of G.A.S.S. pedals? Please see our G.A.S.S. information page.

Fork FAQ's

Do you have 990 mounts on your forks? We did not put 990 mounts on our forks as some riders prefer to not have front brakes.  You can however acquire aftermarket mounts that will screw into our forks allowing you to use 990 mounts.   These are offered by Big Cheese, Threshold and others.

Do any of the Kore posts fit saddles with 10mm rails?   Yes, Kores posts will fit 10mm oval rails.  They will not fit 10mm round rails.

Do you make a seat post for my Specialized mountain bike? Kore makes seat posts in 26.8mm, 27.0mm, 27.2mm and 31.6mm.  To get a Kore post to fit another size frame, please use a shim designed to reduce the size of the seat tube.  These can be acquired through your local bike shop and are made by companies such as Tamer and Post Moderne.
