Can I get a 1 1/4" or 1" Kore mountain stem?
Kore no longer makes those sizes however you can make our current stems fit.
Many dealers stock a shim that allows 1 1/8" stems to fit over a 1"
steerer. We have also seen shims from Headshok to 1 1/4" though those are
harder to find. You might also consider a reducing headset from Chris King or Cane
Creek which allows you to use a 1 1/8" fork and stem in a 1 1/4" frame. If you
are really in a bind looking for a 1 1/4" stem, try Santana Tandems as they still use
that size.
What is Kore's steerer height? This depends on the
stem. The Elite, Lite 3, and B52 have a stack height of 50.8mm. The Forged
stem has a stack height of 46mm. The Sweet 69 and B1B have a stack height of 32mm.
Can I flip over the Elite mountain stem? Yes you can
however it may look funny as the logos will be upside down.
Can I use a road bar with the Elite mountain stem?
The Elite stems are designed to clamp on 25.4mm handlebars and most road bars are 26.0mm.
If you can find a 25.4mm road bar, you can use the Elite mountain stem.
How are you stems measured? Kore lists the length of
stems by measuring the distance (L) between two points:
a) where the center of the bar clamps intersects the center line of the stem,
b) where the center of the steerer clamp intersects the center line of the stem.

How high is a 10 degree stem? Check out our chart of
mountain stem sizes below. The chart uses zero degree as the base. In other
words, the 120mm stem at zero degrees has a horizontal length of 120mm and a bar height of
0mm.

Can I get a custom length stem? It
depends on what you are looking for.
a) Custom colors are available for minimum orders of 500 pieces.
b) Custom lengths and angles are only available on the Elite mountain stem and require a
four month lead time. These must be ordered through your local shop and 75% must be
paid up front. The cost is double to cover tooling costs and the time it takes to
stop our normal production.
