Cold Forged Head with Single Bolt Design
The Elite Post uses a cold forged head made from 6061 aluminum. The
forged head increases strength and durability, while reducing weight. The forged head also
features broached serrations for a perfect fit with the head clamp parts. The Elite Post
features our patented single bolt off-set design. A single bolt for clamping and
adjustment is the lightest, most simple way to make a seatpost.Scandium
Tube
The Elite Post uses a special Scandium alloy which is stronger than 7075
aluminum while reducing weight. Due to the material make up, we are also able to
supply a straight gauge tube that is lighter than most thin wall butted tubes.
CNC Machined Head Clamp Parts
The Elite Post uses precision machined 6061 aluminum head clamp parts. CNC
machining is superior to casting or forging when parts need to mate up perfectly. All
excess material is removed from the clamps to reduce weight.
Custom Titanium Bolt
The Elite Post uses a custom "Hot Headed" 6AL-4V
titanium bolt. We start with a "Hot Headed" blank and then CNC machine
the bolt to the exact size and shape for the Elite Post. This process is the strongest way
to build a titanium bolt. |
